The Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICArb) is the premier Arbitration Institute in Nigeria founded in 1979
under the leadership of former Attorney General of Nigeria and former judge of the World Court at The Hague, Judge Bola Ajibola, SAN, KBE. NICArb was incorporated in 1988 under the Companies Act as a legal entity Limited by Guarantee.
In furtherance to the Nigerian Society of Engineers’ (NSE) mission of providing quality services aimed at enhancing professional competence and development of its members at all time, the Nigerian Institute of Arbitration will be training NSE Members on a customized 3-day intensive Arbitration Training Programme. The programme will focus on the use of ADR as means of settling dispute with emphases on Arbitration.
This training will be of immense benefit to NSE members as they will be equipped with requisite skills to arbitrate in engineering related matters, quick and easy in-depth analysis of different legal process, ability to identify at a glance, matters that are best suited for a particular ADR mechanism in resolving daunting disputes and the opportunity for an additional professional career in arbitration.

On successful completion of the training and requisite assessment, participants will be required to attend the Nigerian Institute’s investiture Ceremony in November 2018, where they will be admitted and certified as Associate member of the institute and eligible to use the acronym ACArb after their names.

Date: October 31-2 November, 2018.
Cost: N200,000 per participant.
The Assessment mode will be ‘on the spot questions’ and ‘take home assignment’ to be submitted within a week of training.
